Sen. Josh Hawley raised concerns about U.S. Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson’s leniency toward criminals convicted of child pornography during the first day of her confirmation hearing Monday.
Jackson, President Joe Biden’s nominee to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer, also has a pro-abortion record that includes working with abortion activists on a case about suppressing pro-life advocates’ free speech.
Her record on unborn babies’ rights has pro-life advocates opposing her nomination. Then, last week, Hawley, a pro-life Republican, raised additional concerns about Jackson’s “soft” record on child sex offenders.
On Monday, he voiced those concerns in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, pointing to seven cases in which Jackson gave lenient sentences to criminals convicted of possessing child pornography and other child sexual abuse charges.
“What concerns me, and I’ve been very candid about this, is that in every case, in each of these seven, Judge Jackson handed down a lenient sentence that was below what the federal guidelines recommended and below what federal prosecutors requested,” the Missouri senator said.

Ketanji Jackson is a fully converted leftist liberal democrat cultist. She has been groomed as a leftist and she is dedicated to push leftist ideas, causes, and agendas. If she is appointed to SCOTUS there is no indication she will rule for the American people or freedom in opposition to unconstitutional, radical, leftist Marxist ideologies.

She is soft on crime. Why she sentenced a child pornographer to 3 months instead of the years called for by sentencing guidelines is unknown. Is she going to be soft on all crime? It does appear she has been consistently soft on crime for years. Is she open to bribery? Maybe that is why she turned the child pornographer loose to continue a life of crime with no fear of imprisonment. Who knows?

At this week’s Supreme Court hearings, U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) questioned Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson about her statements in U.S. v. Hawkins where she sentenced a child porn offender to just three months instead of the recommended eight to 10 years. After his release, he continued seeking out “sexually arousing” images of young children.
As the Washington Post reports:

A person familiar with the Hawkins case read to The Post the probation office request that led to Jackson’s order. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity, because they were not authorized to publicly discuss it.
The probation office petition did not allege that Hawkins committed any new sexual offense or violation of conditions. However, it stated that “despite being in treatment for more than five years,” Hawkins “continues to seek out sexually arousing, non-pornographic material and images of males 13 to 16-years-old.”
