You said that the neighbors getting sick and tired of having their lives disrupted was one of the desired effects. That boils down to getting people fed up...with their routines being thrown out of whack. Genuine change in the hearts of these folks didn't seem to matter to you (much less occur to you).
Everyone whose home is being protested was first approached with a plea to cease and desist with their collaboration with Planned Parenthood. They refused.
Others didn't. Several subcontractors pulled out of the project when they learned that they were really working to build a Planned Parenthood abortion mill. (Weitz has been lying to them and others about the nature of this project.) They therefore have not been the target of any protests.
How in principle does this differ from throwing a rock through a window or cutting someone's tires?
We do not damage anyone's property, nor do we do anything else that is criminal.
People should want to end abortion, not just get the neighborhood quiet.
They
should, but they often don't. Many people are motivated by self-interest and could care less that kids are being murdered by the thousands every day in this country.
Do you want to legalize all murder, rape, and theft? That way we could make sure that people refrain from those behaviors because they are wrong, not because they fear the government-imposed penalties. But the would-be victims don't mind what exactly deters the would-be criminals.
This is the reason things like murder, rape, kidnapping, and theft are supposed to be illegal and bear equitable consequences: While it's preferable that each man should not want to rape or murder out of the goodness of his heart and concern for others, we need penalties in place to motivate the those who don't care about who they hurt. We've got to make refraining from evil in their own self-interest, in order to protect would-be victims.
Abortion should be illegal, but it isn't. So we do what we morally and practically can to bring about negative consequences for those involved in the abortion industry, to deter them and to deter others who might otherwise cash in on abortion. The government should put these negative consequences in place, but they don't. So we pick up the slack as best we can.
