Great post by Koban!! Koban's post illustrates how silly it is to make an arbitrary judgment as to when a baby is actually a person.
:first:
Imagine a woman in her twenty-eighth week. She has a C-section. The surgeon makes the incision and removes the baby from her womb.
Presto! It's a baby, with the fully invested rights of every American citizen.
The surgeon is having some difficulty with the umbilicus. In order to manipulate it, he places the "baby" back in the woman's abdominal cavity.
Chango! It becomes a blob of cells again, with no rights! The mother can decide to kill it on a whim and it's ok!
Pull it out - Presto! It's a baby again!
Put it back! Chango! It's a blob of cells again.
Does this seem a little more than silly?
