Wow... great stuff from Tico! This is how it's done folks!
:first:I dispute your exegesis. There were false Judaizers who were never saved and there were true Christians being influenced by legalism. Your aversion to cultural-historical background, original languages vs KJV-only, proof texting MAD gets you into trouble. Rejecting your interpretations is not rejecting the Book.
Apparently others in the Acts 15 council agreed with the false Judaizers:
Acts 15:6 Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter. 7And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
The apostles and elders were disputing this issue: Acts 15:1 And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”.
Apparently some, who the Bible calls "apostles and elders", held beliefs which you say "were not a Christian denomination, but like a cult" and that they "were eternally cursed for preaching it". The apostles and elders were disputing whether or not circumcision was necessary for salvation. If some of the apostles and elders didn´t hold this belief, then there were have been no reason to dispute.
