Killing someone in retaliation is always the good Christian response. I'm sure that's what Jesus would have done.

We are not to retaliate as individuals...but that is the government's job (Romans 13).

But if you do evil, be afraid; for he [The Government] does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
