No, I call your interpretation of scripture a stretch. Jesus was making sure that His earthly mother would be taken care of until she died since Jesus knew He would not be there to do it. He told John to treat Mary as John would treat his own mother. He told Mary to accept John as her son so she would accept John's care. In no way can these verse be reasonably interpreted to mean that Jesus gave the world Mary as a co-redemptrix.
