Otherwise, anyone could do whatever they wish and get away with it. There would be no reason not to be a Hitler, or the most callous abortionist, if you felt like it. It wouldn't be fair for some people to get away with having all the sex they want while others stay pure for their spouses. It wouldn't be fair for some people to get away with oppressing an entire country full of people while others allowed their people to be free. It wouldn't be fair for some people to get away with cheating on their spouses while others stayed true. It's wouldn't be fair that some accepted Christ as their savior and others didn't. Otherwise, why not simply eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die? It cannot be that way. There will be a judgement day for the unrepentent among us.
