Most certainly a candidate for Post of the Year.

:first:Who would you have voted for, and why?
Pontius Pilate, Roman Prefect of the province of Judea.
He supports infanticide in the form of “exposure” if a born-alive child is unwanted.
He’s currently in power and has many powerful connections thus garnering, perhaps out of acquiescence and/or personal gain, much of the people’s support. Loyal to himself and to foreign Rome.
(Democrat)
Herod Antipas, Tetrarch over Galilee and Perea.
He claims to oppose infanticide but condones it in many cases and has even funded it...his position is dependent upon his audience.
He is quite wealthy and wants to rule over all of Judea. Loyal to himself and to Rome with some claimed sensitivities to the Jewish people and religion, thus garnering much of the people’s support.
(Re-publican)
Barabbas, leader of a movement to restore Judea closer to it’s historical and religious roots.
He disdains infanticide but has supported it’s regulation.
Though currently in the custody of the Re-publican party, he is quite capable of stirring up a crowd in his favor. His claim of appeal to a Higher morality has garnered a considerable amount of the people’s support though he still lags in many polls. Loyal to himself and Judea.
(Re-publican)
Theudas, a nationalist of sorts, calling for Judea to be free of foreign concerns.
He disdains infanticide but is willing to accept it in the individual territories which might allow it’s practice.
He is at odds with the incumbent administration and wants to abolish the current oppressive tax system thus garnering a fair amount of zealous support. Loyal to himself and Judea.
(Re-publican)
Jesus of Nazareth, carpenter and teacher of Good News.
He condemns the practice of infanticide.
He has twelve apostles, some disciples...and one Powerful Connection. Unwilling to compromise on moral issues, he rigorously adheres to a righteous worldview thus garnering very little of the people’s support. Loyal to His Father and, His enduring commands.
