But it seems that
We know our enemies
More than we know
Our friends or so we
Think that we do.
In order to beware
Of one another.

But what was Jesus
Thinking when He was.
Being tortured and beaten
On His way to die
For you and me?
Sure He could had went
Back from turning the cheek.
And really would put the
Romans and Jewish people.
In their place back then.

As hard as this may be to
Hear or really comprehend.
Jesus loved even His
Worst enemies in those
That crucified Him.
Rather than seek vengeance on them.
Because He knew that they
Would have Him delivered in their hands.
At times we need to expect the
Unexpected from those who
Would want to hurt us.
In doing the best to love them
As only God's love can change them!
