So what all did Jesus have to say about judgment?
Notice that Jesus said that judgment, mercy and faith are matters having to do with the law. He tied mercy and judgment and mercy together.with the law. He also said to not judge from appearances but with righteous judgment.
He seems to have a much different idea of judgment than we humans do as He ties judgment directly to mercy. Think that's because we judge from appearances?
Joh_5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: |
Joh 7:22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. Joh 7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Joh 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. |
Mat_23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. |
