IS MANKIND AN ANIMAL

To me Mankind is an Animal

who was given a Mind Spirit from JESUS

so that he could Reason like God.

Ge 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground,

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

My example is Nebuchadnezzar who's Human mind was taken away :luigi:

and he was given the mind of an Animal.--:dog:--:dog:

I can't quite follow your reasoning.

Humans are considered as part of the animal kingdom, as opposed to "plant" and "mineral." But we are much higher than animals, because we were given the ability to appreciate spiritual things & to yearn for our Maker.

When Nebuchadnezzar was in the field acting like an animal, it was an experience that was unique to him at the time, and for a reason. It lasted only 7 years.

No, not a physical likeness. We could never look like God. He is a Spirit (John 4:4). We are made in His image in that we have His qualities of love, justice, wisdom & power. The animals don't have all of these attributes.

Jesus is like God in every way...a mirror reflection, as it were. (Colossians 1:15) But he is not God. He is the unique Son.

Animals do not have souls.

THEY ARE SOULS. The last time I checked, the Bible states this very clearly. No one or nothing "HAS" a soul. Humans and animals ARE souls.

"Man CAME TO BE a living soul." (Genesis 2:7)

We must go back to the original Hebrew words to see that what I'm saying is true. An Interlinear Bible helps a lot. ("Soul" is ne'phesh.)

Genesis 1: 20,24 contains the word "souls" to pertain to living creatures like fish and birds. There are more, but this one scripture should show that animals ARE souls.

You were saying that some people were suggesting that we look like God physically. I was addressing that....We do not look like God. Jesus is not God, and that is why the inspired writing of John says, "No one has seen God at any time, but the only begotten Son...has explained Him." (John 1:18)

Now Jesus is back in Heaven and in the form of his Father again...Spirit. Some humans will be called to take on that form as well. But that is another thread.
