We all know what people mean when they use the term "token black," but that term is hateful and disrespectful. Nevertheless, the term conjures up memories of corporations, organizations, and groups forced to hire someone on the basis of their skin color and not their qualifications, in order to meet racial quotas and to give the impression that the hiring group is not racist.
Is that why Biden chose the black woman who lost the democrat primaries worse than any other to be his running mate? Did he want her for her skin color or gender, or did he want her for her qualifications? Sadly, it seems she lacks qualifications.
