Let's say [Roe v. Wade is overturned]. Now Roe v. Wade is no longer the law of the land. But in California what happens? Abortion remains legal. Why? Because the prolifers passed 2 laws: One that said you could have an abortion if you wait 24 hours. And the other said even if you're a minor you could have an abortion if you notify at least 1 parent or a guardian or you get a judicial bypass. And so now the prolifers are so excited Roe v. Wade is overturned and they want to stop abortion in California and their own laws are keeping abortion not only legal but at full force. And so then they start a campaign to try to overturn the laws that they fought to put on the books.

And they should have asked themselves, "Are these good laws?" For example, if abortion was illegal would we try to pass a law that says you can have an abortion if you tell a parent or if you wait 24 hours? No, we wouldn't do that. See, laws are good or bad. Laws are good or bad because they are moral statements. And so these are bad laws. So now they're trying to repeal their own bad laws.
