You will not hear it taught in the Catholic church or in Calvinism, that Jesus Christ has victorious defeated sin, death and the devil and in doing so has reconciled a world of lost sinners unto God.
Yet it is openly taught in the New Testament. The religious avoid these scriptures like the plague.
"And having spoiled principalities and powers (The devil) he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it" Colossians 2:15.
"God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation (the Gospel)" 2 Corinthians 5:19.
These two scriptures tell us that Jesus has victoriously defeated sin, death and the devil. The fact that God accepted Jesus into heaven and has made Jesus both Lord and Christ, Acts 2:36, is more than proof that Jesus is indeed the savior and redeemer of the whole world, 1 John 2:2.
The reason that God is not imputing sin to sinners is because sin has been abolished by the crucifixon of Christ. God is now at peace with the world because of the doing and the dying of Jesus Christ.
"And having made peace through the blood of the cross, by him to reconcile ALL THINGS unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven" Colossians 1:20.
This is the age of grace and faith. Jesus has victoriouly made a way for all that want to be saved to be saved. Now, "Whosoever that shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13. Because of the victorious work of Christ that was done in our name and on our behalf, the gates of heaven have been thrown wide open.
This is why Paul wrote... "To him that does NO WORKS, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteouness" Romans 4:5.
Simple, child like faith in Jesus is our ticket to eternal life and not religion.
