Of course if a man believes the entire New Testament is a lie, then any prophecies fulfilled in that same new testament won't be very convincing, but if he believes any of these things happened to Jesus then it might be worthwhile to point out the prophecies fulfilled.
The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem
Micah 5:2
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans[a] of Judah, out of you will come or me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
The Messiah would be born of a virgin
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself will give you[a] a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and[c] will call him Immanuel
The Messiah would enter Jerusalem riding a donkey
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
The Messiah would be rejected
Isaiah 53:1-3
Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
The Messiah would be bettayed by a friend
Psalm 41:9
Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.
Psalm 55:12-13
If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were rising against me, I could hide. 13 But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend,
The Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver
Zechariah 11:12-13
I told them, “If you think it best, give me my pay; but if not, keep it.” So they paid me thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the Lord.
The Messiah would be put to death for the sins of others
Isaiah 53:8
By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.
The Messiah would not speak against his own prosecution
Isaiah 53:7
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
The Messiah would be beaten, mocked and spat upon
Isaiah 50:6
I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting.
The Messiah would have his hands and feet pierced
Psalm 22:16
Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
The Messiah would die together with sinner
Isaiah 53:12
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors.
The Messiah’s clothes would be gambled over
Psalm 22:18
They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.
The Messiah’s bones would not be broken
Numbers 9:12
They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations.
The Messiah would die for the sins of other
Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
The Messiah would be buried in a rich man’s tomb
Isaiah 53:9
He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth
The Messiah would be raised from the dead
Psalm 16:10
For You will not leave my soul among the dead or allow Your Godly One to rot in the grave.
