From Adam to Jesus was 4000 years, 4 days.

From Jesus to the the return of the Jews to Israel in 1948, just short of 2 days.

From Adam to the year 2000, 6 days.

We are in the last day and we have no guarantee of what time during this day he will return!

People have thought this many times already. There is no reason for any of it. You might want look at Mt 1 and ask: why didn't everything end in 280 AD when that would have been 7 40s after Christ, since it was 420 40s from Abraham to Christ...

The Bible does not predict that about the future. It does say there is a short period of hostility toward believers everywhere, Rev 20, but it does not predict things in the modern middle east etc.
