ECT Grammar and context--even without Greek

The brutal treatment of Acts 2:30, 31 by the 2P2P terrorists has taught me that 2P2P surives by its war on context. The people in it did not do the grammatical work of the connective between verses, nor within.

That's what grammar is for, and while words can get tweeked, there is hardly any way to tweek a diagram. There is only one outcome. (this is why the foolish 2P2P statements about 2 gospels in Gal 2 have gone extinct).

In acts 2:30, it is about David knowing he was promised a son on his throne AND SEEING what was coming...(in Christ's resurrection)...

A basic diagramming of that would have shown JerrryS that he had not skipped tracks and derailed but had made connection.

2P2P has single lines everywhere without their connectors.

You; the very individual who just recently based an assertion about a passage in Genesis 1 on a passage allllllllll the wayyyyyyyy over in 2 Peter 3.

Diagram a few passages all you claim you do; the fact is that ALL Scripture is one HUGE, INTERCONNECTED "DIAGRAM."

Isaiah 8:20; 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Though I seriously doubt you actually invest any serious time in Scripture.

Not only do you consistently display a grossly woeful ignorance of its' content; but you just as consistently display you prefer quoting your endless books "about" and their fool reasonings of men each forever parroting their own endless books based "reasoning."

You fool no one.

Well, you do appear to have fooled yourself rather well.

As a second vital example, there is the connector in Acts 1:8, "BUT you will receive power (the authoritative enactment of the kingdom)."

Because 2P2P is so full of its own thoughts, since certain theologs in the 19-20th century knew more than the apostles, it stops in the 1st part of this exchange and does it's apparently logical full stop. 'see, he's going to do the kingdom some other time, without them knowing.'

That's fine if the context did not have a connector. The connector is about their problem, and the answer to it. The very thing they are fixated on is about to change into something new.

Jesus sounded like this many times. Jn 12:34 is one of them. Messiah was supposed to reign forever; the Law said (ie the OT said). His answer: follow the light, walk in the light.

Or, Elijah was supposed to come. Yes, Elijah is supposed to come. But Elijah has come and they butchered him.

They always have the right prefigurement; they never get the transformed outcome that Jesus brought.

This is why Pentecost had to happen the way it did: it happened completely apart from their timing or control or location. It was as much a work of God as the conception of Christ in Mary, or the transfiguration or the resurrection. If they had been asked to plan or organize it, it would have been muck.

God in his wisdom, and foreknowledge, sent John the Baptist in the spirit of Elijah first.
Elijah indeed shall come first. Wait and see.
