One other thing... because of the secret and ritualistic nature of these societies, distorted echoes of the past will on occasion crop up.

So, for example, the Shriners (masonry lite) have little fezs with titles like Al Hassan, there's a distant memory of Templarism buried somewhere there in the past. I have no idea where the little cars derive from. It's probably satanic though....
