THE LORD GOD SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO INHABIT DIFFERENT BODIES.

Moses fIRST saw a BURNING BUSH ON THE MOUNTAINSIDE.

But does God need a Body or is it just a Shell for His Essence.

JESUS appears with Feet like polished Brass and a Face that Shines like the Sun.

Moses could not see the Lord God and Live but could see his backside
on the mountain.

WAS GOD HIDING BEHIND THE BURNING BUSH WITHOUT HIS BODY ? :king:

Behind? Probably not. Moses never said that he saw God in the burning bush, only that God spoke to him there.

God the Father is invisible, and is fire. Jesus is God the Father with a body.

Colossians 1:5 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Hebrews 12:29 for our "God is a consuming fire."

These descriptions are metaphors.

In the Bible, God is also depicted as an eagle, a rock, a potter, a wind, a mountain, a storm--even an old woman!

The divine is infinite and, at bottom, indescribable. So us finite humans use the language of myth and metaphor for descriptions.

Therefore there are 2 GODS.

The Holy Spirit (Comforter) is the MIND OF CHRIST sent down to help the Apostles and Christians overcome sins.

1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?

But we have the mind of Christ.


Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

This is the truth that instructed the Jews to never mention God’s Holy Name.
This truth is often expressed even today when the Jews use the word "G-D” to refer to the Infinite Creator.

The closest humanity can come to describing the sacred and the holy is through metaphor and myth.

The idea of “a spiritual body” comes from Paul. It was later when Jesus’s followers declared he rose from the grave and physically resuscitated.

Jesus declared to all that the incarnation was true: Jesus was God on earth. The “before the world” theology is from John the gospel author’s agenda. The claim is purely theological. It is not something any objective reader of the gospels could see or recognize as literal truth.

That is an understandable (to me, at least) way to characterize what I said.

But it is clearly theology, not actual historical events.

Jesus came and preached and good people on all sides made up their own personal meaning or theology to describe what they saw:

1. This guy’s God. Let’s follow him.
2. This guy is a threat to us. Let’s get rid of him.
3. This guy’s boring. I’m outta here.

Jesus reveals himself to those who obey him. Start there.

See John 14:21.

Where would be the “living room” in you where the Holy Spirit lives?Does your Holy Spirit hang around your large or small intestines?
Or does it take up residence in your head?
When it is inside you, what does it do when you are sleeping?
How about your kidneys?
Does the Holy Spirit take up any room there?
Why is it that some of us only need to be “born again”?
Where does the Holy Spirit go in you when it wants to relax?
“Spirit” means breath. Does it live in your lungs?
How do you tell the difference between the Devil and the Holy Spirit, since we all know the Devil masquerades as the Holy Spirit to do his mischief?
