Dozens of college-age men dead from ‘accidental’ drownings—but a team of retired detectives say the boys were drugged and killed by a shadowy gang with a sinister symbol.

It's something that goes back to the late 90's when drownings were occurring near places where there were smiley faces- however the faces don't have any similarity to one another in detail, which makes it easy to assume at least by itself as merely coincidental.

I think because of how disturbing the concept is, it's really driven people to wonder or be inclined to believe it's the truth- so much that it may even cause some people to give testimonies that are a bit skewed in feeling it should be true.

I don't really believe or disbelieve it- it falls somewhere between 'legitimate concern' and 'conspiracy' for me.
