Focus on the Family says Equal Rights for Homosexuals

This is the show from Wednesday August 29th, 2007.

SUMMARY:

* Family Values Republican Senator: Larry Craig is the latest homosexual Republican family-values leader to come out of the bathroom stall, er... ahhh, to come out of the closet. He is a homosexual who attempted to have anonymous homosexual sex in a public restroom in the Minneapolis airport. In 1993, Focus on the Family vice president of Public Policy Tom Minnery led Dr. James Dobson and other Christian leaders to adopt a campaign promoting Equal Rights for Homosexuals. Thus, America's Christian leaders broke with 3,500 years of Judeao-Christian legal history as upheld by Moses, Jesus and the Apostle Paul, and sided with Hillary, Hollywood, the Homosexuals and Humanists by legitimizing (declaring legally valid) homosexual behavior. This was one predictable symptom of the earlier adoption by National Right To Life of the secular humanist and legal positivist strategy of violating God's enduring command, Do not murder, in order to regulate child killing in the vain hope of achieving a moral victory. However, undermining God's authority does not lead to moral victories, but to moral relativism. Christians should advocate the re-criminalization of homosexual behavior!

* Tom from Cross Plains Wisconsin: Unlike adulterers and most other criminals, homosexuals march down Main Street bragging about their sin. This is because homosexuality is one of the greatest forms of rebellion against God. To become more despicable, a person would almost need to have sex with children or animals.

* A Guy Named Pro-Life from Idaho: agrees with Bob that God's law must be the foundation of man's criminal code, including four of the Ten Commandments: Do not murder, do not steal, do not commit adultery, and do not bear false witness!

I heard Focus on the Family believed in "equal rights, not special rights." Of course, I agree. All criminals, should have the right to be punished for their crimes, even death if it is warranted, such as in homosexuality.

The Ten Commandments do not include Sunday in the laws, only the Sabbath. (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown)

Newsflash: homosexuality is not a criminal offense.

I think it should be a crime to make your sons, daughters and servants work on the Sabbath. Because you are stealing the time that God gave them to meet with Him.

Apparently not, or our whole admin and mod team would be locked up along with many of our posters. And Bob Enyart.

I see you live in England. In the U.S.A. a crime against a homosexual, is called a "hate crime." A recent judge ruled that it did not even have to be expressed, it was just assumed. in order to insure that the burden of proof was almost nonexistent.

If anyone here on TOL or elsewhere commits a crime against a homosexual, he is in grave danger of double the punishment. It is not yet a crime in itself. But it is getting very close.

We are very near the point where it will soon become a protected right, above that of freedom of speech, or freedom of religion.

Erm, yes.. a crime. Since when is hating someone a crime? :squint:

As long as one doesn't act on said hate with any more than speech, you're fine.

When something is a crime for 3500 years and then it is not anymore shouldn't one ask WHY?

I didn't tell Lighthouse not to ask why. I simply reminded him that his statement was not currently accurate, as homosexuality is not currently a crime.
