Revelation 14: 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Do you have the faith of Jesus? He prayed just before He raised Lazarus from the grave.
John 14: 40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Do you have the faith of Jesus? Not faith in Jesus, but the same faith Jesus had. It is what made Him able to keep the commandments, raise the dead, heal the sick, and cast out demons. I know I don't have that kind of faith yet but one day I will as God is causing my faith to grow on a daily basis. How about you? Is your faith growing daily? Do you know Jesus as your friend? That's a huge step up on the way to having your faith grow daily.
Jesus' disciples as Jesus to increase their faith. His response?
Luke 17: 5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
This the way I have come to see things in the last year and a half or so. We are indeed unprofitable servants for there is nothing we can do on our own for God.
