Example of what America's elite really think about average citizens

Norman Eisen, a former ambassador to the Czech Republic who has served as legal counsel to the Obama administration, began calling electors to explain that their job is not necessarily to certify the results but to have a reasonable discussion over whether the public made the right decision.

The constitutionality of such thinking? What's the Constitution to leftists? Either a club or an impediment, depending on their needs.

That's sort of what the Electoral College is about, actually. The Founding Fathers weren't entirely comfortable about 'pure democracy' because it is not in fact the 'tyranny buster' many venerate it to be.

They believed that general society is simply not a dependable factor on it's own.

When the country was first founded, not everybody and their brother voted like today- the whole 'voting being a civic duty' is more of an invented sentiment really.

"whether the public made the right decision"

dunno about the constitutionality, but it seems obvious to me that, on the whole, "the public" is retarded

proof?

the last election

the one in 2012

the one in 2008

Point is, as you know, the Left only questions the process and the people when their side doesn't win.
