Republicans have moved so far to the right and demanded Democrats meet them in the middle. But now, the middle is where the right used to be. That's why Obamacare is Bob Dole's plan from the 90's. Obama's cap and trade was first proposed by George H.W. Bush. The positions that were held by conservatives a generation ago, are now the center-left positions because the right has moved sooo far right.

There really isn't anyone in congress promoting the liberal position on most issues. The public healthcare option was considered "off the table" during the health care debate, let alone single payer. A jobs program? Forget it. Reforming Wall Street? Off the table. Getting out of the Middle East? Off the table. Where is the real liberal or libertarian voice in congress? There isn't one.

Single payer is on the horizon....A decade at most? They don't have a choice. The current system is unsustainable and it's not possible to go back.
Single payer is the only option open to get prices under control. That's not to say I think that's good....It's just that we seem to have painted ourselves into a corner. :idunno:

The alternative is temporarily passed. With Boehner out of the way the President should have been removed and his anti-Christ, anti-liberty orders repealed. But the idiots of Ohio kept him. Mind boggling. How can you twice elect John Kasich for Governor, and then John Kasich? You all must be stupid or something.

Only because of people like you.

That's really not true. The normal, natural outcome of winner-take all elections is a two-party system. This ensures that politics will be dominated by broad parties that are fairly inclusive. Chrys is just acknowledging the problem.
