Marriage is not defined in the Bible.
yes it is.
Genesis 2:18, 21-24
The Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him'...and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh.
Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man.' For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, a
nd they will become one flesh
From Matthew 19:4 "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,'
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Why one?
Malachi 2:15 Did He not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking?
Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth.
