Do you want truth on your side or hide behind falsehoods?

The question in the title of this thread is the fundamental question of Christianity. The person asking stating it is Jordan Peterson while being interviewed by Tucker Carlson. Peterson says that whatever comes from telling the truth is the best of all alternatives. You know, he's almost quoting scripture. He's restating something Isaiah said. The following twitter post is around 2 1/2 minutes of Peterson's answers to Carlson.

Isaiah 11:16 ¶Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Dishonesty will never stand the test of time and the judgment of God.

The biggest problem we have in this nation, and in the world, is the lack of trust between people. None of us trust the other guy because we all believe the other guy is lying. The only solution to this lack of trust is telling the truth at each and every possible chance. Lying will only work to keep on destroying the entire world. We got into this mess because of lies: the Devil's lies. And we have continued in this mess because so many of us have chosen to lie rather than tell the truth. Truth is the only remedy for distrust. Nothing else can, or will ever, break through distrust.

Dave Rubin gets into this in the following podcast. Probably the last 5 minutes or so of it.
