Denver Christian Nurse on End-of-Life Issues

Thursday December 29th, 2005. This is show # 259.

BEST QUOTES OF THE SHOW:
There's this culture war but it's more than that. It's a battle between right and wrong. And so when people are taking the side of it's good to starve people to death to deal with problems and then you come along and you say I don't think it's right to starve this person to death, people don't look upon that graciously. They take offense because you're basically telling them what you're doing is wrong.
Christian leaders are saying we need to go by natural law – the law of nature and nature’s god. That’s no foundation for law when you have God’s special revelation of scripture. When God says do not murder and do not shed innocent blood, you don’t want to go by natural law. Animals, sometimes they’ll eat their own. They’ll eat the weak. They’ll kill the weakest. So we don’t want natural law. We don’t want Christians saying we want natural law. We want God’s law.
