When students are powerless to defend themselves against a maniac, what do you think will happen? Speaking for myself, on the rare occasion when I do carry, I certainly don't do so in order to strut. I hope that I never need to use a firearm in self-defense. When you disarm citizens and force them to break the law to provide themselves protection, you compound an already ugly issue.
