Just finishing watching on YouTube Brooks' closing statement. Haven't really followed the trial, just caught the ridiculous highlights occasionally. It goes to jury deliberation next.

And then years and years of appeals, of course.

Watching the preliminaries to the jury reading the verdict, Brooks is pulling out all the stops on his sovereign citizen playbook, just heard him questioning jurisdiction and in the same breath question whether it was under common law or admiralty law.

A court date scheduled for next Monday, to hear remarks before sentencing and to schedule sentencing.
