what if you had to chose between a two day old newborn and a seven year old?
how about a 2 year old and a twenty-seven year old?
The difference is that fetuses are
unborn. Unborn has always been understood as meaning
yet to come.
As in, they have not experienced life.
What those who call abortion 'murder' do is make synonymous being technically 'alive' and 'experiencing life'. When God breathed life into Adam, he was
born- he was experiencing life.
Fetuses don't experience jack. Beyond the poetry one hears about what they do up in there, they are, in reality, just reacting on stimuli- their brains aren't even fully developed.
In fact, a baby doesn't even develop the ability of long term memory until much time after conception, which is why you don't remember jack before you were 2-3 years old.
This is just a little something called
reality.
I see women who have aborted as guilty of an unnatural, carnal sin, and as a result of further sins of selfishness and other vanities. It's a real mess in which no Christian can righteously support.
However, it's not 'murder'.
Going around calling those women or whoever murderers is simply ridiculous. As such, here's another one:
If you had to choose between a women guilty of abortion going to prison, or a person guilty of manslaughter, you would hands down choose the person guilty of manslaughter.
