Didn't watch the Oscars. Not much interested. And, avoiding the Oscars led to an wonderful blessing.

After watching an old episode of Columbo, I flipped the channel to a show called "The Voice" and witnessed an amazing rendition of "A Change Is Gonna Come."

Turns out this incredible voice belonged to Biff Gore, president of Colorado Right to Life.

I didn't watch either. The replay will be on AFN. I forget about him because he doesn't run his mouth all the time like the others do. And as much as he hangs out on the Long Horns sidelines on Saturday in the fall, he can't be that bad. I just read his quote.

They (the left) have to be beside themselves.

I'm not sure where the "quiet and uncomfortable" bit comes from. McConaughey's speech was quirky, rambling, and quite a bit self-impressed. Just like the guy himself.:chuckle:

As those kinds of shows go, this year wasn't too bad. The music was OK, The host was entertaining, and the winners were as goofy as they always are.

Whose quote? McConaughey's?
