The bloody Christmas weekend comes toward the end of a record year of violence in the nation's third-largest city. More than 750 people have been killed in Chicago in 2016, marking the first time in nearly two decades that the number slain has exceeded 700, according to the Tribune.

The FBI reports that the increase in the number of murders in Chicago in 2016 is due to the massive increase in hate crimes. Specifically white on black killings, white on middle eastern killing and the killing of transsexuals. The rates for these groups account for almost half of all homicides in Chicago in 2016. All they've been trying to do is make SENSIBLE laws regulating guns for safety. Confiscation has NEVER been its goal .
When will you right-wing gun nuts get this simple fact - GUN CONTROL IS NOT GUN CONFISCATION .
Requiring drivers to have license is not taking cars away from people . It's the same with gun control laws. The problem is not the gun control laws we already have . The problem is that they are much too weak .
The criminals in the NRA have blood on their hands with their ruthless suppression of gun control laws . Why ? They don't want "freedom ". They just want to make maximum profit .
And they have virtually the entire Republican party in they pay .
No law-abiding , responsible gun owner in America needs to fear stricter gun laws .
