President Trump has authorized the release of more than 3,000 classified documents from the FBI, CIA, and Justice Department on the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Perhaps we will find out how the fatal exit wound which was in the back of the head at Parkland Hospital in Dallas ended up being in the front of the head after the autopsy at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland!

Could this have been released by previous Presidents?

They'll release a sheet of paper entirely blacked out except for one small block that says OSWALD.

Anything released this far out will have been so thoroughly massaged that it will tell us nothing.

There will be something because there are some who know what is in the documents who do not want them released:

"In the days leading up to Trump's announcement, a National Security Council official told The Washington Post that government agencies were urging the president not to release some of the documents. But Trump's longtime confidant Roger Stone told conspiracy theorist Alex Jones of Infowars this week that he personally lobbied Trump to publish all of the documents.

Stone also told Jones that CIA Director Mike Pompeo "has been lobbying the president furiously not to release these documents."

Did someone say CIA?

The records could have been released by any president because Presidents have complete latitude to release classified material. However, these would have been released this week no matter who was President unless that person moved to block it.

So, yes, he could have prevented the release. But if he had done nothing, it they would have been released.

The emergency room doctors didn't look at the back of the head, and didn't inspect the head thoroughly. There was brains over the gurney, and the man was dying. The autopsy was carried out elsewhere. Which doctor present said there was a rear exit wound?

From testimony given to the Warren Commission:
Mr. SPECTER. Why did you not take the time to turn him over?

Dr. CARRICO. This man was in obvious extreme distress and any more thorough inspection would have involved several minutes-well, several — considerable time which at this juncture was not available. A thorough inspection would have involved washing and cleansing the back, and this is not practical in treating an acutely injured patient. You have to determine which things, which are immediately life threatening and cope with them, before attempting to evaluate the full extent of the injuries. (6 H 2-3)

Mr. SPECTER. With respect to the head wound, Dr. Akin, did you observe below the gaping wound which you have described any other bullet wound in the back of the head?

Dr. AKIN. No; I didn't. I could not see the back of the President's head as such, and the right posterior neck was obscured by blood and skull fragments and I didn't make any attempt to examine the neck.

My prediction: There are many who believe various conspiracy theories who will be very disappointed.

Is there a betting pool?

Well, I wouldn't bet against you. But conspiracy theories have a way of surviving contrary evidence.

Then why did so many doctors and nurses at Parkland describe a large exit wound in the back of the head? Just click on this link and you will see the testimony of about a dozen of those people who saw the wound:

Besides that, Secret Service agent Clint Hill was in the back seat of the car with JFK on the way to Parkland and he too described a large exit wound in the back of the head!

How can they all be wrong? How could Clint Hill have been mistaken when he described a large exit wound in the back of the head?

You say 'large exit wound', but the link you give just mentions 'wound'. What would indicate to a visual inspection that a wound was an exit rather than an entry wound? A bullet can generate cavitation on the way in, producing a lot of hydraulic pressure than can blow out the surface and skull in the manner of an explosion.

Did any of the witnesses you mention have forensic experience and access to the inner surfaces of the skull fractures to see how the beveling went, which is the usual way to determine which wound is the entry?

(Clint Hill's witness statement doesn't mention an exit wound - did you m make that up for effect? http://jfk-online.com/clhill.html )

Ignore him, he's being deliberately stupid.

If you will just look at the head wound which was sketched by the many doctors at nurses at Parkland you will see that wound as about the size of a fist at the back of the head. And it is IMPOSSIBLE that wound is an entry wound so it must be an exit wound.

And Clint Hill, the Secret Service Agent who was with the body on the way to Parkland also described the wound in the back of the head as being a large wound. That can only be an exit wound because entry wounds are not large.

Besides that, one of the doctors who examined the head wound in Dallas located a small entry wound at the front hairline right above the right eye of JFK.

Torso entry wounds are usually not large, but this was a skull wound and not straight on, so you can't go by what you see on Hollywood movies.

See here for the forensic angle. http://www.forensicmed.co.uk/wounds/firearms/gunshot-wounds-rifled-weapons/
