One of our families that has a basement apartment has said, "Well, here's what we would do if a Christian family through Bob Enyart Live needs a place to stay: The 1st month will be free...the 2nd month would be $100, the 3rd month would be $200 and it would go up $100 a month for a while and then reach a plateau and then they could either stay there or leave."

And with that kind of effort, for one, you're not insulting the dignity of the family you're helping...because if you tell somebody, "Well, you can stay here until you get on your feet," that makes it harder for them.

I really liked the points made over just how far the government should go in helping the Katrina victims so that they don't end up hurting them rather than helping.
