Big deal. Why do you suppose Jesus instructed his followers to be no part of the worldly governments? He was just tossing out ideas? Jehovah must've had a good reason to have Daniel in the position he was in, just as in the case of Joseph in Egypt. But Jesus shunned involvement in politics and was very clear when he said things like:
"The world has no reason to hate you, but it hates me because I testify of it that its deeds are evil." (John 7:7)
"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you." (John 15:18,19)
"These things I have spoken to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have conquered the world." (John 16:33)
"I have given them [the disciples] Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." (John 17:14)
Then Jesus' brother James added: "You [spiritual] adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." (James 4:4)
You don't mind being God's enemy? Then get involved in the dirty politics of this world.
Government is not the same thing as dirty politics.
If a local man is put forth by the citizens to represent their interests in the wider community then there is nothing wrong with that.
Babylon is described on the book of Rev.as fallen, fallen, and to get out of it.
However it has not always been fallen.
God has in the past used governments to protect its citizens, including the righteous, and used its armies to free other nations from their evil dictators.
If God uses governments at times then it must be that the Christians also honor and obey them that God has set up for the good of all.
Dan 2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
Dan 2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
Rom 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Rom 13:5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Rom 13:6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
1Pe 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
1Pe 2:14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
1Pe 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
1Pe 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
1Pe 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God.
Honour the king.
1Pe 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
1Pe 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
King David was in government.
You are in error to use the world in the way that you do.
