So what is everyone listening to? In the past year, we successfully launched the very popular Real Science Friday programs showing that the greatest enemy of evolution is modern science!

Today's Resource: Second Telethon SPECIAL: In addition to our Plot Audio Set Telethon Special, now we introduce our Telethon Download Special! Our KGOV Store now features forty different downloadable resources, from Bob's Plot manuscript, to his First Five Days novel, to many of our popular Bible Study Albums! Order any of these downloadable resources and have the purchase price applied toward our KGOV Telethon goal to help BEL stay on the Internet for another year! And remember, BEL offers a 30-day money back guarantee on our resources! What a great way to help ensure that BEL keeps pressing on for another year!

* BEL highlights over the past year:
9-18: we distributed talk points on abortion for rape, incest & life
9-22: publicized endocrinologist Professor Joel Brind's warning that abortion is a major risk factor for breast cancer
10-2: broke the news that Brian Rohrbough was to appear that night on CBS with Katie Couric
10-15: listener to BEL who works for a major retail chain refused to program their computers to help them sell the abortion pill, Plan B
10-19: taught the audience and posted online the neglected truth that Pain in NOT physical; pain is awareness, it is knowledge, and awareness is NOT physical, so PAIN is NOT physical
10-30: published our BEL Voter's Guide, that recommended voting NO on just about everything, except for a defense of marriage act that did not endorse homosexual partnerships
10-31: publicized NRTL's endorsement of yet another pro-abortion candidate, NJ's Tom Kean
11-7: presented biblical and political arguments against democracy
11-8: presented our BEL Election Meltdown debrief
11-13: attracted the criticism of a Delaware pastor, who refused our offer to debate
11-15: caller Maryanne distributed 200 Focus on the Strategy DVDs in Pittsburgh, at a Focus on the Family conference; caller Dave has compassion for dirt, but not for unborn children
11-20: presented BEL's award-winning: 10 Reasons Liberals Hate the Holidays
11-22: pointed out that well into George W Bush's administration, out-of-wedlock births skyrocketed to an all-time high of nearly 40%
12-1: a Colorado pastor reversed his position while on the air on indiscriminate forgiveness, now agreeing with the Lord's words in Luke 17 that we should forgive people if they repent
12-5: BEL hosted the debate between Colorado and Wyoming RTL on NRTL's evil Fetal Pain Bill, which reinforced the false notion that younger babies do not feel pain, and that unconscionably tried to solve the problem of pain for the unborn by offering anesthesia, thus making even late-term abortion appear more humane to the public, judges, politicians, the media, and to moms
12-12: interviewed Notre Dame law professor Charles Rice who has long opposed child-killing regulations, but now jumped into the fight to expose the tragic reality that hundreds of pro-life laws, like Indiana's informed consent, will keep abortion legal after the Supreme Court merely overturns Roe v. Wade
12-13: debated the age of the earth with the pastor of a Colorado mega-church, Loveland's John Stocker of Resurrection Fellowship
12-18: gave a CRTL Progress Report of what had happened in the few months since their annual banquet: they had elected Brian Rohrbough president; he then exposed the evil of abortion on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, in the Washington Post, on Fox News Channel's O'Reilly Factor, on CNN, on the local evening news and Denver radio including KHOW's Caplis & Silverman; and also, for the first time, CRTL joined the "ABC" Fight Against Komen's Race for the Cure, they Argued Against Fetal Stem Cell Research on the evening news, and they accepted Planned Parenthood's Invitation to a Fight! (for the press release, please see the TOL BEL Forum, and the Sept. 11, 2007 show thread)
12-26: interviewed NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace about the Christian influence in NASCAR
12-27: broke the news that another homosexual, this one from Great Britain, became a Christian through the ministry of Denver Bible Church's TheologyOnline.com
1-3: helped 14-year-old Emily from Colorado Springs figure out how to expose fraudulent faith healers
1-5: on BEL, a follower of a cult leader Roy Masters, unwittingly exposed his hero, in a case that was publicly documented here first, in which he committed a gross breach of discretion for his own prurient interests at the expense of an emotionally distressed young woman
1-8 to 1-12: Walt Brown Week, some of the most popular shows of the year. Walt Brown on Evolution, Dr. Walt Brown, MIT-degreed scientist, on the formation of the Grand Canyon, on the Hydroplate Theory! We put these great shows and other neat features on a wonderful CD called Walt Brown Week. At KGOV.com, just click on the Store, and then, the Science Department!
1-15: on Stu Epperson's syndicated radio show, Bob persuaded a number of his audience members to advocate abolition of America's prison system, and return to the three biblical punishments of restitution, corporal punishment, and capital punishment
1-16: we presented how Church and State should function
1-17: introduced the CRTL pledge, called the 40 Years / 50 Million Dead / One Commitment to never compromise on God's enduring command, Do not murder
1-18: Janet Folger interviewed Bob on the CRTL pledge, and during that interview, Barbara Lyons of Wisconsin RTL refused to oppose the passing of laws like informed consent which not only regulate child killing, but will also keep abortion legal, perhaps for years or even decades, once Roe v. Wade is simply overturned
1-25: after Calvary Chapel pastor Ed Taylor from Colorado urged his audience to not listen to BEL (of all things!), Bob had a personal discussion with him which aired on both their radio shows, and Bob gave biblical evidence for the belief that God is free, and that He remains creative, and therefore, the future is open because God can do new things (this teaching upsets many Christians who have been taught theology influenced by Augustine's commitment to Greek philosophy)
1-16: interviewed Ryan Dobson on his great book, titled, Intolerance. (and never brought up our disagreement with his dad regarding the regulation of child killing)
1-27: presented an Open Theism Seminar, which is now available from us on DVD, and according to the manager of a Christian bookstore, it is probably the only Open Theism resource of its kind available on DVD! There are many books, pro and con, about Open Theism, but this is the only DVD seminar on the topic we're aware of.

Colorado Right to Life To Join the Race for the Cure Protest

A meeting last Friday between Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s Denver officials, CRTL board members, and scientific and medical experts led the pro-life organization to decide to join an annual protest to warn women at the Komen Foundation's Race for the Cure of the link between abortion and breast cancer.

Former Komen medical research analyst Eve Sanchez Silver explained to the Komen officials that she resigned from Komen two years ago because the organization denies the scientific studies showing the link between abortion and breast cancer, and it provides funding to abortion provider Planned Parenthood. Professor Joel Brind, PhD endocrinologist from Baruch College in New York City attended the meeting after saying on Denver radio that, “the 2003 conference of the National Cancer Institute which denied abortion as a risk factor for breast cancer refused to allow attending scientists to present the opposing position of the scientific research establishing the link, showing that abortion was declassified as a cancer risk for political and not scientific reasons.”

Further, "The NCI's own statistics show that breast cancer has increased, and only in women who were of child-bearing age when abortion was legalized in 1973, so much so that nationally, cancer would have steadily declined, except it has held steady at the expense of women getting breast cancer," said Dr. Brind.

Komen Denver board member and chairman of the grants committee, J.P. Pedinielli, and public relations representative, Dana Brandorff, attempted to dissuade CRTL from protesting at the Race arguing that "Planned Parenthood is not a current grantee" of Komen's Denver chapter, and when challenged, added that Planned Parenthood, "might have been a previous grantee." CRTL vice president Leslie Hanks then documented the continued local funding of the abortion provider throughout this decade. Eve Silver showed from Komen documentation that the national organization has given as much as $475,000 in a single year to abortion-provider Planned Parenthood.

"Even if abortion proved beneficial to a woman's health," said Hanks, "government should still prohibit the killing of an innocent human being, because abortion is always wrong."

Prof. Brind corrects a factual error on the Komen.org website, that "the breast is mature after puberty," stating that "Third trimester pregnancy hormones begin the final maturation process and the differentiation of mammary gland cells. Abortion prevents this, leaving the woman with more undifferentiated cells vulnerable to carcinogens, increasing her risk of breast cancer."

As transcribed from a recording of the meeting, CRTL asked, "Why aren't women being told about the most preventable risk factor?" to which Komen's Brandorff answered, "We tend to focus on the cure… we're focusing our energies on that, rather than the preventative."
