Isaiah 25:7-9

And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of His people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

And it shall be said in that day, "Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and hHe will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."

That day has not come yet. Not any point during Acts. Not in 70, nor anytime since.

True - but where the Preterist is concerned, they erroneously base their view of that on far much more than on that alone.

For example, they erroneously assert that is what, say, Luke 21:28's "your redemption draweth nigh," and what, say, 1 Corinthians 15:56 's "o death where is thy sting," and other passages like those, are referring to, which, according to them, took place in 70AD.

Rom. 14:5; Rom. 5:6-8.

That verse alone would require preterists to be universalists of some sort.

Many, many of them ARE.

I'd provide a link with much background on that, but you know how you are about links - only you and your pals are above your double-standard of a "law" against links.

:chuckle:

Rom. 5:6-8.
