An Argument For Designed Intelligence

I reject the proposition of "intelligent design" as it's been presented to us by disingenuous creationists, because it's based on speculative mathematical 'odds' that have been proven inaccurate.

However, existence as we experience and understand it does follow some sort of natural 'blueprint' that we humans have not as yet been able to fully identify or comprehend. Yet even though we cannot fully identify or comprehend it, or how it works, we know that it's in effect by the consistency of it's expression, and by the stability and complexity of it's result.

Something is determining (conditioning) the way energy does and does not express itself as it generates the 'world' as we know it. And the result of those conditions are spectacularly transcendental: matter from energy, life from matter, consciousness from life, and intelligence from consciousness. Whatever this blueprint is that existence adheres to, it has resulted in intelligent self-awareness, in and through us. Existence has become aware of itself! And to what degree it is aware of itself is impossible for us to guess, as we have so little knowledge, ourselves, of what other forms of intelligence may exist elsewhere in the universe.

The point, here, is that although the whole "intelligent design" proposal is bogus, it should not be allowed to cause us to ignore the fact that intelligence is the result of a spectacularly transcendent "existential program". As is everything else that exists. A program that we humans have not as yet (and maybe will never) fully comprehend.

The mystery is bigger than we know, and we are a part of it, so I think we should respect, appreciate, and contemplate this aspect of our reality.
