40th Anniversary of the End of Fighting in Vietnam

On April 30, 1975, the South Vietnamese Capital of Saigon fell to Communist forces. This ended decades of warfare over the country going back to the Second World War. Thousands of Vietnamese, Japanese, French, Americans, and others would still be alive today if everyone had just minded their own business. And in the end, nothing was gained, Vietnam fell to the Communists even after so many Americans and South Vietnamese sacrificed their lives to keep that from occurring.

Ah yes, the Libertarian and his NAP (Non Aggression Policy). Here's what happened when the US pulled out of SE Asia: your beloved communists did their "thing".

I've heard many a story from Vietnam vets as well: Don't fire until fired upon; failure to bomb strategic bridges, etc.

Of course the US government was supplying the Soviet Union with aid, which in turn went down the Ho Chi Min Trail to our VC enemy.

The traitors in WA DC are eternally burning in Hell for what they did to our boys.

It wouldn't have been difficult to defeat communism in SE Asia and leave those respective countries for anti communists/pro Americans to rule.

You do understand why Vietnam was such a limited war? We didn't want to provoke China (and possibly the USSR) into joining the fight.

You mentioned that the US was not fighting the war in a way that we could obtain victory. But if we had done things like invading the North we could have brought China into the war and that had to be avoided at all costs. Just look at the Korean War.

So you go into a war not fighting it to win for fear that a larger communist mass murdering regime might get involved?
