Doing a NT search on tax in the NT isn't hard.
The gist is governments have the right to impose tax and a Christian response is to pay it and not whine alike a baby.

Hmm, it seems to me that a tax doesn't mean any amount the rulers decide to impose. Also, not being a believer in divine revelation, as most here probably do, I have more of a problem with heavy taxation. I would consider 5% to be fine for truly needed government services. Maybe even 10%, but much above that should not be acceptable. And the same money being taxed over and over again, as it is now, should be reason for revolt, because the trend is always more and more.
