:think: I'll grant it's possible, but I'd have to see the specific to judge it...with racism it's mostly about contempt. I suspect for most it's about empowered contempt, but I see enough of the unempowered kind to last a lifetime in the old, dying guard. Trad's the most benign of the lot, but it's still a cancer.

I don't understand what you mean by that. :idunno: I don't think it's confusing either way, but I think the latter rendering would have precluded confusion on the point by those either determined to read in an offense or just mistaken.
In hindsight, it would have been clearer if I'd written, "Being sick of them would" instead of "Being sick of them does" though I didn't think anyone would confuse my intent. -
